   NORTHWESTERN MARICOPA COUNTY IN CENTRAL ARIZONA
   NORTHERN AND EAST CENTRAL LA PAZ COUNTY IN WEST CENTRAL ARIZONA

*  UNTIL 900 PM MST

*  SOME LOCATIONS AFFECTED

*  AT 705 PM MST RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW MODERATE TO LOCALLY HEAVY
   RAIN CONTINUING OVER THE WARNING AREA. IN ADDITION AUTOMATIC RAIN
   GAGES IN THE WARNING AREA WERE RECEIVING IN EXCESS OF THREE-
   QUARTERS /0.75/ OF AN INCH OF RAIN PER HOUR. AS A RESULT...FLASH
   FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT IN THE WARNING LOCATIONS.
 
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODING.
