THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOUNT HOLLY NJ HAS EXTENDED
THE FLOOD WARNING UNTIL 800 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
LOCATION...

IN  NEW JERSEY

   ...SOUTHERN OCEAN COUNTY
   ...CUMBERLAND COUNTY
   ...ATLANTIC COUNTY
 
THUNDERSTORMS WITH TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS WERE FINALLY EXITING THE
REGION...BUT THE DAMAGE HAS BEEN DONE.  MOST MAJOR ROADWAYS WERE 
FLOODED AND CLOSED IN THE AREA.  CUMBERLAND COUNTY OEM REPORTED NJ
STATE ROUTE 55 HAD FIVE FEET OF WATER ON IT.  ATLANTIC COUNTY OEM
REPORTED THAT MOST MAJOR ROADWAYS ARE CLOSED AND ONLY ONE LANE WAS
OPEN IN EACH DIRECTION OF THE BLACK HORSE PIKE.  ATLANTIC CITY
INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT AS OF 5 AM WAS CLOSED.  OCEAN COUNTY OEM
REPORTED SEVERE FLOODING IN THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE COUNTY...
ESPECIALLY LITTLE EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP.  

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS COULD DROP ABOUT ANOTHER INCH OF RAIN
BETWEEN 5 AND 8 AM ACROSS THE REGION.  BUT...THE BACK EDGE OF THE
RAIN WAS SHOWING PROGRESSION AND SHOULD MOVE THROUGH THE WARNING AREA
BY 8 AM.

IF YOU ARE IN AN AREA PRONE TO FLOODING...MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND
IMMEDIATELY...BEFORE YOUR ACCESS IS CUT OFF BY RISING FLOOD WATERS.
FOLLOW THE DIRECTION OF POLICE AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERSONNEL IN
YOUR AREA.  NEVER DRIVE ON BARRICADED ROADS.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE
THROUGH FLOODED AREAS.  THE WATER MAY BE DEEPER THAN YOU THINK.
RAPIDLY RISING WATERS CAN QUICKLY ENGULF YOUR VEHICLE AND ITS
OCCUPANTS. IF YOUR VEHICLE STALLS...ABANDON IT AND SEEK HIGHER GROUND
QUICKLY.

PERSONS WHO HAVE TRAVELING PLANS INTO THE AREA SHOULD BE ADVISED THAT
TRAVEL WILL BE DIFFICULT AT BEST...ESPECIALLY DURING THE EARLY PART
OF THE MORNING COMMUTE.
