000 TTAA00 KMOB 252221 RRA SVRMOB ALC131-252315- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL 519 PM CDT SAT OCT 25 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 615 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTH ALABAMA ...WILCOX COUNTY AT 517 PM CDT...NWS DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR IN MOBILE INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR THOMASVILLE AL. THIS STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 28 MPH AND WILL PASS NEAR PINE HILL AND JUST NORTH OF YELLOW BLUFF AL THROUGH 615 PM CDT. THE MAIN THREAT FROM THIS STORM IS LARGE HAIL AND DAMGING STRAIGHT-LINE WINDS GREATER THAN 57 MPH. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN "EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS. &
