THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MELBOURNE FL HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 300 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA

   ...INDIAN RIVER COUNTY
 
AT 210 PM...DOPPLER RADAR IN MELBOURNE SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
MOVING INTO SOUTHWEST INDIAN RIVER COUNTY. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST
NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH AND WILL CROSS HIGHWAY 60 AND REACH TO BEWTEEN
FELLSMERE AND VERO BEACH BEFORE 230 PM.  DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
LARGE AREA OF WINDS GREATER THAN 50 MPH JUST AHEAD OF THE STORM.

WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING...PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DO NOT USE TELEPHONES OR
ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM HAS
PASSED.  MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
