AT 9 PM CST...THE RIVER STAGE AT DARLINGTON ON THE PECATONICA RIVER IN
LAFAYETTE COUNTY WAS 10.88 FEET. FLOOD STAGE IS 11 FEET. THE RIVER IS
FORECAST TO CREST AT 15 FEET WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
 
FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR ON MAIN STREET IN DARLINGTON AND MAY FLOOD
PORTIONS OF HIGHWAYS 23 AND 81 IN DARLINGTON BEFORE WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
 
AT 9 PM CST...THE RIVER STAGE AT MARTINTOWN ON THE PECATONICA RIVER IN
GREEN COUNTY...WAS 11.3 FEET. THIS IS OVER THE FLOOD STAGE OF 11 FEET.
THE RIVER IS FORECAST TO CREST AT 17 FEET SATURDAY.
 
FLOODING WILL AFFECT MAINLY LOWLAND AND AGRICULTURAL LAND.
 
THE FLOODING IS BEING CAUSED BY RUNOFF DUE TO MELTING SNOW. LITTLE OR NO
RAIN IS EXPECTED THROUGH WEDNESDAY NIGHT.
 
DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD!
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO
RECOGNIZE THE DANGER OF FLOODING.
