000 TTAA00 KEKO 080002 RRA SVREKO NVC007-080030- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ELKO NV 501 PM PDT THU AUG 7 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ELKO HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 530 PM PDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...... IN NORTHEAST NEVADA ...EAST CENTRAL ELKO COUNTY AT 500 PM PDT (600 MDT) RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 20 MILES NORTHWEST OF WEST WENDOVER IN THE PILOT PEAK VICINITY. THE STORM IS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 20 MPH AND WILL REMAIN ALONG THE UTAH BORDER NORTH OF WEST WENDOVER THROUGH 530 PM PDT (630 PM MDT). SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 58 MPH, DESTRUCTIVE HAIL, DEADLY LIGHTNING, AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
