THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAKE CHARLES LA HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 230 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN SOUTHEASTERN TEXAS

   ...JASPER COUNTY

AT 1225 AM...REPORTS FROM LOCAL MEDIA INDICATED 3.85 INCHES OF RAIN
HAS FALLEN IN THE KIRBYVILLE AREA DURING THE PAST FEW HOURS.
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR SHOWS THAT THUNDERSTORMS WILL
CONTINUE TO MOVE OVER THE COUNTY DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS
WITH AN ADDITIONAL ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAINFALL.


BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.
DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
IT IS VERY DIFFICULT AT NIGHT TO TELL HOW MUCH WATER IS ON ROADS.
MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE THROUGH WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH.
