THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTH PLATTE NE HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1245 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA

   ...HAYES COUNTY
 
AT 945 PM CDT...NORTH PLATTE DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES THAT UP TO
THREE AND A HALF INCHES OF RAIN...ALONG WITH A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT
OF LARGE HAIL...HAS FALLEN ACROSS NORTHERN HAYES COUNTY...MAINLY
NORTHWEST THROUGH JUST NORTH OF HAYES CENTER.  THIS RAINFALL SHOULD
PRODUCE ENOUGH RUNOFF TO RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING IN AND NEAR THE
CREEKS AND CANYONS THAT EXIST IN MAINLY CENTRAL HAYES COUNTY.  SOME
OF THE RUNOFF COULD ALSO BE SIGNIFICANT IN NORTHERN AND EASTERN
HAYES COUNTY...SO THE ENTIRE COUNTY AS BEEN PLACED IN A FLASH FLOOD
WARNING.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGER OF FLOODING.
 
IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE TO ESCAPE FLOOD
WATERS.  DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS
RISING.
