000 TTAA00 KLBF 150709 COR FFWLBF NEC029-111-135-151000- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING...CORRECTION NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE 204 AM CDT (104 AM MDT) SUN JUN 15 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTH PLATTE NE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 400 AM MDT (500 AM CDT) FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA ...CHASE COUNTY ...SOUTHERN LINCOLN COUNTY ...PERKINS COUNTY AT 155 AM CDT...NORTH PLATTE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED RAINFALL AMOUNTS EXCEEDING THREE INCHES OVER PERKINS COUNTY STRETCHING INTO SOUTHERN LINCOLN COUNTY. THE AREA OF CONCERN IS SOUTH OF A LINE FROM VENANGO TO JUST NORTH OF WALLACE AND DICKENS. STORM MOVEMENT IS TO THE EAST AT 20 MPH. CONTINUED TRAINING OF THUNDERSTORMS CAN BE EXPECTED IN THIS AREA THROUGH 4 AM CDT. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED IN THIS AREA. PONDING OF WATER IN LOW LYING AREAS IS LIKELY. RAPID RISES IN SMALL STREAMS AND CREEKS ARE ALSO LIKELY. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGER OF FLOODING.
