000 TTAA00 KJKL 020545 RRA TORJKL KYC197-020630- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON KY 1244 AM EST SUN MAR 2 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 130 AM EST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY... IN SOUTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY ...PULASKI AT 1243 AM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO 15 MILES NORTHWEST OF SOMERSET NEAR BETHELRIDGE. THE STORM PRODUCING THE TORNADO WAS MOVING EAST AT 50 MPH AND WILL AFFECT PULASKI...WALNUT GROVE...AND SCIENCE HILL AND EUBANK BY 120 AM. RESIDENTS OF THESE COMMUNITIES SHOULD BE IN THEIR BASEMENTS. THIS WARNING UPGRADES THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR PULASKI COUNTY. N THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION. ACT QUICKLY.
