000 TTAA00 KATL 182052 RRA SVRATL GAC107-283-182145- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PEACHTREE CITY GA 455 PM EDT MON AUG 18 1997 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 545 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA ...EMANUEL COUNTY...TREUTLEN COUNTY AT 455 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ALONG I-16 SIX MILES NORTHEAST OF SOPERTON. THIS SEVERE STORM WAS MOVING EAST 25 MILES AN HOUR. DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED. BOATERS, GOLFERS, AND OTHERS INVOLVED IN OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
