THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  900 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN CENTRAL GEORGIA
 
   ...JONES COUNTY...MONROE COUNTY
 
IN NORTHEAST GEORGIA
 
   ...BUTTS COUNTY...JASPER COUNTY
 
AT 805 PM WEATHER RADAR INDICATED SEVERAL SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS FROM 5
MILES WEST OF MONTICELLO TO 5 MILES WEST OF GREY. THE STORMS ARE MOVING
TO THE WEST AT 10 MPH. THESE STORMS WILL MOVE OVER JACKSON AND FORSYTH
AT BETWEEN 820 AND 835 PM.
 
DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING
ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM
WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED. BOATERS, GOLFERS, AND OTHERS
INVOLVED IN OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
