SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1230 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN NORTHWEST GEORGIA
 
   ...BARTOW COUNTY...EASTERN FLOYD COUNTY...POLK COUNTY
 
AT 1148 PM NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WAS SHOWING SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS 5
MILES EAST OF ROME AND NEAR ROCKMART. THE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST
AT 25 MILES AN HOUR.
 
DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING
ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. STAY INSIDE AWAY FROM
WINDOWS UNTIL THE STORM HAS PASSED. BOATERS, GOLFERS, AND OTHERS
INVOLVED IN OUTSIDE ACTIVITIES SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
