THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  345 AM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
 
   ...GLASCOCK COUNTY...NORTHERN JEFFERSON COUNTY
 
AT 0135 AM EDT WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS MOING
ACROSS GLASCOCK AND NORTH JEFFERSON COUNTY. AS THE LINE MOVES OVER THIS
AREA IT WILL CAUSE THUNDERSTORMS TO REPEATEDLY MOVE ACROSS THE SAME
AREA. THIS WILL POSSIBLY RESULT IN FLOODING OF ROADS AND LOW LYING
AREAS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  WATER DEPTHS OF ONLY ONE TO TWO FEET WILL CAUSE MOST
AUTOMOBILES TO BECOME STRANDED OR FLOAT AWAY. IF THE WATER IS MOVING
...THE ROAD BED MAY BE ERODED. VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER
SHOULD BE ABANDONED QUICKLY.
