THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM AL HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 910 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN NORTHERN ALABAMA

   ...CULLMAN COUNTY

HEAVY RAINS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES ESPECIALLY OVER EASTERN CULLMAN COUNTY IS
CAUSING FLASH FLOODING OF SOME ROADS THIS MORNING.  FLOODING OF HIGHWAY
69 NEAR BAILEYTON IS ALREADY REPORTED.  MORE HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED TO
CONINTUE TO MOVE THROUGH THE SAME RAIN-SOAKED AREA THROUGH 8 AM.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...
ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT
AT NIGHT TO TELL HOW MUCH WATER IS ON ROADS. MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT
DRIVE THROUGH WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH.
