THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BIRMINGHAM AL HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 820 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

IN NORTHERN ALABAMA

   ...BLOUNT COUNTY

IN CENTRAL ALABAMA

   ...ST. CLAIR COUNTY
   ...TALLADEGA COUNTY
 
HEAVY RAINS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES OVER GROUND THAT WAS SATURATED FROM
PREVIOUS RAINS WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING WAS ALREADY
OCCURING IN ONEONTA. THE AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN WILL
CONTINUE TO MOVE SOUTHEAST AROUND 20 MPH THROUGH THE SAME GENERAL AREA
UNTIL AFTER SUNRISE THIS MORNING. THIS WILL CAUSE ADDITIONAL FLASH
FLOODING.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...
ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING. IT IS VERY DIFFICULT
AT NIGHT TO TELL HOW MUCH WATER IS ON ROADS. MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT
DRIVE THROUGH WATER OF UNKNOWN DEPTH.
