THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY HAS EXTENDED
THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 5 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE
FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN  DELAWARE

   ...NORTHERN KENT COUNTY

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR
NORTHERN KENT COUNTY DELAWARE. ALTHOUGH THERE WAS A BREAK IN THE
PRECIPITATION OVER KENT COUNTY IN THE LATE EVENING...ADDITIONAL
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER NORTHEASTERN MARYLAND WERE MOVING
SLOWLY EAST AND SHOULD BE OVER NORTHERN KENT COUNTY BY 1 AM. THESE
STORMS WERE PRODUCING LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL...WHICH WOULD ONLY
AGGRAVATE THE ALREADY SATURATED CONDITIONS IN NORTHERN KENT COUNTY.

KENT COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT INDICATED AT 1155 PM THAT U.S.
HIGHWAY 13 REMAINED CLOSED AT GARRISON LAKE DUE TO HIGH WATER.

AVOID AREAS WHICH ARE PRONE TO FLOODING. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT
NIGHT WHEN IT IS MORE DIFFICULT TO RECOGNIZE FLOOD DANGERS. NEVER
DRIVE AROUND BARRICADES. THE WATER WILL BE DEEPER THAN YOU THINK. IT
ONLY TAKES TWO FEET OF STANDING WATER TOz CARRY AWAY MOST CARS.

TELEVISION STATIONS FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION ON THE FLOOD WARNING.
