THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY HAS
EXTENDED THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN  DELAWARE

   ...NORTHERN KENT COUNTY

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR
NORTHERN KENT COUNTY DELAWARE. A SERIES OF THUNDERSTORMS HAVE REMAINED
NEARLY STATIONARY AROUND THE CITY OF DOVER. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES OF
BETWEEN TWO AND THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN DURING THE PAST THREE
HOURS AND WITH THE STORMS REMAINING NEARLY STATIONARY...SEVERE URBAN
FLOODING IS LIKELY TO CONTINUE. IN ADDITION THUNDERSTORMS FORMING AROUND
THE OUTFLOW FROM THIS STORM COULD PRODUCE FLOODING IN ADJACENT PARTS OF
KENT COUNTY.

AVOID AREAS WHICH ARE PRONE TO FLOODING.  BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS
AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS MORE DIFFICULT TO RECOGNIZE FLOOD DANGERS.
CONTINUE TO MONITOR NOAA WEATHER RADIO...AND YOUR LOCAL RADIO AND
TELEVISION STATIONS FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION ON THE FLOOD WARNING.
NEVER DRIVE AROUND BARRICADES.  THE WATER WILL BE DEEPER TH*AN YOU THINK.
IT ONLY TAKES TWO FEET OF STANDING WATER TO CARRY AWAY MOST CARS.
