THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  600 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN  NEW JERSEY
 
   ...NORTHWESTERN BURLINGTON COUNTY
 
THUNDERSTORMS WITH TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS HAVE DROPPED ABOUT TWO INCHES OF
RAIN DURING THE PAST HOUR IN BOTH WILLINGBORO AND MOUNT HOLLY. HEAVIER
RAIN WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE SAME AREA THROUGH AT LEAST 430 PM.  THIS
WILL RESULT IN AND EXACERBATE WIDESPREAD URBAN FLOODING AS WELL AS THE
FLOODING OF SMALLER STREAMS IN THE NORTHWEST HALF OF THE COUNTY.
 
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED AREAS.  THE DEPTH OF THE
WATER MAY BE HIGHER THAN YOU THINK.  RAPIDLY RISING WATERS CAN
QUICKLY ENGULF YOUR VEHICLE AND ITS OCCUPANTS...WASHING THEM AWAY.
REMEMBER...MOST FLASH FLPOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
DRIVE AROUND BARRICADES.
