THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PHILADELPHIA/MOUNT HOLLY HAS EXTENDED THE
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 300 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN  PENNSYLVANIA

   ...MONROE COUNTY

HEAVY RAIN IS CONTINUING ACROSS MONROE COUNTY...PENNSYLVANIA. REPORTS
FROM THE STROUDSBERG EMERGENCY OPERATION CENTER INDICATE THAT MANY SMALL
STREAMS AND CREEKS WERE AT OR ABOVE OVER THEIR BANKS AND MANY ROADWAYS
ARE CLOSE. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 3 TO 4 INCHES HAVE ALSO BEEN REPORTED.
THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL WILL MOVE OUT OF THE COUNTY LATER THIS MORNING...
HOWEVER...ADDITIONAL SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE AFTERNOON.
PERSONS IN AND NEAR STREAMS SHOULD TAKE ACTION IMMEDIATELY.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED AREAS.  THE DEPTH OF THE
WATER MAY BE HIGHER THAN YOU THINK.  RAPIDLY RISING WATERS CAN
QUICKLY ENGULF YOUR VEHICLE AND ITS OCCUPANTS...WASHING THEM AWAY.
REMEMBER...MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.
