IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...FANNIN COUNTY IN NORTHEAST TEXAS ...LAMAR COUNTY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING UNTIL 400 AM FOR FANNIN AND LAMAR COUNTIES. RADAR ESTIMATES THAT OVER 5 INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN OVER FANNIN AND LAMAR COUNTIES...PARTICULARY BETWEEN HONEY GROVE AND PAT MAYSE LAKE...SINCE WEDNESDAY EVENING. AN ADDITIONAL 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAINFALL IS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE AREA EARLY THURSDAY MORNING. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING. MOST DEATHS IN FLASH FLOODING OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.
