000 TTAA00 KSAT 150717 FFWSAT TXC385-463-151015- BULLETIN - EAS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO TX 214 AM CDT SUN SEP 15 1996 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 515 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS ...REAL COUNTY...UVALDE COUNTY AT 212 AM...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED ONE TO THREE INCHES OF RAINFALL IN AN HOUR NEAR THE CITY OF UVALDE...IN NORTHERN UVALDE COUNTY AND NORTHERN REAL COUNTY. THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE THROUGH REAL AND UVALDE COUNTIES FOR THE NEXT HOUR OR SO. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS.
