000 TTAA00 KSGF 272143 TORSGF MOC067-272230- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO 440 PM CDT SAT MAY 27 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 530 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI ...WESTERN DOUGLAS COUNTY AT 439 PM...SPRINGFIELD DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW A TORNADO JUST EAST OF GARRISON IN THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF CHRISTIAN COUNTY. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST-NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH AND WILL MOVE INTO WESTERN DOUGLAS COUNTY JUST NORTH OF BROWNBRANCH IN THE AREA OF HIGHWAY 76 AROUND 450 PM AND JUST SOUTH OF AVA AROUND 510 PM. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS A BASEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.
