IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI ...CHRISTIAN COUNTY...GREENE COUNTY...STONE COUNTY AT 1140 PM CDT...A LINE OF SEVERE STORMS WAS INDICATED BY DOPPLER RADAR MOVING EAST AT 45 MPH. THE CITIES OF NIXA...SPRINGFIELD...OZARK... GALENA...KIMBERLING CITY AND REPUBLIC ARE IN THE PATH OF THESE STORMS. THIS LINE OF STORMS HAS HAD A HISTORY OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS OVER 6MPH...NICKEL SIZE HAIL AND FLOOD PRODUCING RAINFALL. THESE STORMS ALSO HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE SMALL...SHORT-LIVED TORNADOES. IF YOU LIVE IN A HOME OR APARTMENT...SEEK SHELTER IN THE INNERMOST PORTION OF THE BUILDING ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.
