000 TTAA00 KRNK 112212 FFWRNK VAC021-120115- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BLACKSBURG VA 613 PM EDT SUN JUN 11 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BLACKSBURG HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 915 PM EDT FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTY... IN SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA ...BLAND COUNTY AT 613 PM EDT DOPPLER WEATHER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAINFALL HAD OCCURRED IN BLAND COUNTY. BETWEEN ONE AND ONE AND ONE HALF INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN. ADDITIONAL STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL ARE EXPECTED TO MOVE THROUGH THE AREA DURING THE NEXT 1 TO 2 HOURS. THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAS BEEN FROM CERES NORTHEAST TO BASTIAN... THEN ROCKY GAP. A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT. IT'S IMPORTANT TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE RELATIVE TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR CREEKS WHICH CAN BECOME KILLERS IN HEAVY RAINS.
