SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1000 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...

   ...SOUTHERN MONMOUTH COUNTY...NORTHERN OCEAN COUNTY
 
AND THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS
 
A BAND OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THAT HAS HAD A HISTORY OF DAMAGING
WIND GUSTS...LARGE HAIL AND FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING...
WAS LOCATED OVER SOUTHERN MONMOUTH COUNTY FROM ASBURY PARK TO
MILLSTONE.
 
THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SOUTH AT 20 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL
AFFECT REMAINING SECTIONS OF SOUTHERN MONMOUTH COUNTY AS WELL AS
MOST OF NORTHERN OCEAN COUNTY.
 
MARINERS SHOULD ALSO BE ALERT ALONG COASTAL AREAS AS ONE OF THE
STRONGEST THUNDERSTORMS WILL CONTINUE TO TRAVEL SOUTH ALONG
BARNEGAT BAY AND THE ADJACENT ATLANTIC.
 
HEAVY RAINS WITH THIS THUNDERSTORM MAY CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
STREAMS AND UNDERPASSES VERY QUICKLY.  DO NOT DRIVE YOUR CAR INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.  THE WATER MAY BE DEEPER
THAN YOU THINK.  IF CAUGHT IN RISING WATERS...ABANDON YOUR CAR
QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
