THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ROCHESTER MN HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  600 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA
 
   ...SOUTHWESTERN FILLMORE COUNTY
 
RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ALONG THE MINNESOTA/IOWA BORDER
SOUTH OF OSTRANDER WHICH IS 28 MILES SOUTH OF ROCHESTER. THIS STORM IS
MOVING SLOWLY NORTH. SOME TOWNS IN THE PATH OF THE STORM ARE
ETNA...CHERRY GROVE AND YORK. THE STORM SHOULD BE NEAR YORK BY 535 PM
AND ETNA BY 545. HAIL TO 1 3/4 INCHES IN DIAMETER WAS REPORTED BY
SPOTTERS NEAR CHESTER IOWA. WALNUT TO GOLF BALL SIZED HAIL WAS REPORTED
TO BE COVERING THE GROUND NEAR THE MINNESOTA/IOWA BORDER.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...
DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.  FOJR YOUR PROTECTION
MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM.  PEOPLE IN MOBILE HOMES SHOULD GO
