...THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING OVER SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL OREGON...

CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR STRONG THUNDERSTORMS TO DEVELOP OVER THIS
AREA THIS AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE UNTIL 10 PM.  THE LIGHTNING DETECTION
SYSTEM IS INDICATING THUNDERSTORMS IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA MOVING INTO
SOUTHERN JACKSON AND JOSEPHINE COUNTIES. THESE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO
BECOME MORE WIDESPREAD LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT.

THESE STORMS HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY RAIN...FREQUENT LIGHTNING...
HAIL...AND WIND GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH. IF ONE OF THESE STORMS COMES YOUR
WAY BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A SAFE LOCATION.

PERSONS TRAVELING...WORKING..OR DOING YOUR FAVORITE RECREATION SHOULD BE
AWARE OF CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS.  LIGHTNING IS DANGEROUS AND
PERSONS SHOULD AVOID BECOMING A LIGHTNING ROD BE BEING THE HIGHEST POINT
ON THE HORIZON AND NEAR AN OBJECT THAT IS THE HIGHEST POINT ON THE
HORIZON.
