400 AM PDT SUN JUN 4 1995

...A FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES UNTIL 900 AM SUNDAY MORNING FOR STREAMS AND
CREEKS IN SOUTHERN ELKO COUNTY...

FLOODING CONTINUES TO AFFECT TWO AREAS SOUTH OF ELKO.  THE ELKO COUNTY
SHERIFFS OFFICE REPORTS FLOODING ON ROADWAYS IN THE TOWN OF LAMOILLE AND
AND AREAS NEAR THE SOUTH FORK RESERVOIR.

THE TOWN OF LAMOILLE IS COVERED BY 10 TO 12 INCHES OF WATER.  THE
SHERIFFS OFFICE ADVISE MOTORISTS TO ENTER THE AREA AT THEIR OWN RISK.
BUT THERE ARE NO ROAD CLOSURES.

ROADS WERE CLOSED TO THE TWIN BRIDGES AREA...INCLUDING THE SUBDIVISIONS
OF LUCKY NUGGET 1 AND LUCKY NUGGET 2 AND THE SOUTH FORK RESERVOIR.  A
SMALL BRIDGE ON THE WEST BULLION ROAD HAS BEEN WASHED OUT.  ANOTHER
BRIDGE ENTERING THE TWIN BRIDGES AREA IS COVERED BY A FOOT OF WATER AND
MAY BECOME WASHOUT.

NO RAIN HAS FALLEN IN ELKO COUNTY IN SEVERAL HOURS SO WATER LEVELS ARE
NOT EXPECTED TO RISE.

PERSONS PLANNING TRAVEL SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR FLOODED ROADWAYS NEAR
CREEKS AND STREAMS ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF THE RUBY MOUNTAINS.  DO NOT
CROSS ANY FLOODED HIGHWAYS OR BRIDGES.  MOST FLOODING DEATHS OCCUR IN
AUTOMOBILES...SO NEVER CROSS FLOODED ROADWAYS.
