FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  100 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...
 
IN SOUTH CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
 
   ...MARION COUNTY
 
AT 750 AM...NWS RADAR IN JACKSON INDICATED THAT OVER TWO INCHES OF RAIN
HAD FALLEN FROM 4AM TO 7AM THIS MORNING...MINLY ACROSS CENTRAL SECTIONS
OF THE COUNTY. THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL EXTENDED ALONG HIGHWAY 98 AND PARTS
OF HIGHWAY 35.
 
STREET FLOODING HAS BEEN REPORTED IN COLUMBIA BY THE COLUMBIA CIVIL
DEFENSE AT 750 AM.
 
AN ADDITIONAL TWO TO LOCALLY FOUR INCHES OF RAIN ARE POSSIBLE IN THE
WARNED AREA THIS MORNING.
 
PERSONS ARE URGED NOT TO CROSS FLOODED ROADS OR STREAMS THIS MORNING.
 
 
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT
TO CROSS BRIDGES OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROAD.  NEVER
TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
