THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AUSTIN/SAN ANTONIO HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  200 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...

IN SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS

   ...BANDERA COUNTY

AT 1250 PM DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS
MOVING ACROSS BANDERA COUNTY. THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL WAS OCCURRING OVER
TARPLEY.  MOVEMENT WAS TO THE EAST AT 20 MPH. THESE STORMS ARE PART OF
A LARGER AREA OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THAT EXTEND FROM UVALDE TO
AUSTIN AND GEORGETOWN. ALL RAIN WAS MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH. SOME OF
THESE STORMS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN AN HOUR.


A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IMMINENT.
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY
TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT TO ESCAPE
RISING WATER DURING THREATENING RAINS.
