000 TTAA00 KCAE 191847 TORCAE GAC245-SCC003-191930- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC 246 PM EDT FRI MAY 19 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN COLUMBIA HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 330 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN GEORGIA ...RICHMOND COUNTY IN SOUTH CAROLINA ...AIKEN COUNTY DOPPLER RADAR INDICATES A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND POSSIBLE TORNADO JUST SOUTH OF AUGUSTA IN RICHMOND COUNTY. THIS STORM WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH AND SHOULD PASS JUST SOUTH OF THE CITY OF AUGUSTA AND MOVE INTO AIKEN COUNTY BETWEEN 245 AND 315 PM. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF AVAILABLE. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE. OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR POSSIBLE. USE BLANKETS...PILLOWS...OR CUSHIONS TO COVER YOUR BODY. AVOID WINDOWS. ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES.
