000 TTAA00 KLSE 140055 SVRLSE WIC011-121-140145- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI 755 PM CDT SAT MAY 13 1995 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LA CROSSE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 845 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN ...BUFFALO COUNTY...TREMPEALEAU COUNTY AT 750 PM...RADAR INDICATED SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS JUST WEST OF WINONA...OR ABOUT 30 MILES NORTHWEST OF LA CROSSE. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 50 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL BE AFFECTING THE TOWNS OF ALMA AND FOUNTAIN CITY BY 810 PM AND ARCADIA AND MONDOVI BY 825 PM. LARGE HAIL AND WINDS UP TO 70 MILES AN HOUR ARE LIKELY WITH THESE STORMS. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. EXPECT WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH... LARGE HAIL AND DEADLY LIGHTNING. EVEN THOUGH THUNDERSTORMS HAD MOVED WELL EAST AND SOUTH OF LA CROSSE ...ANOTHER LINE OF STORMS WAS ADVANCING ACROSS SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA AND NORTHERN IOWA. AT ABOUT 710 PM...A WIND GUST OF 69 MPH WAS REPORTED AT THE ROCHESTER MINNESOTA AIRPORT AS THIS LINE OF STORMS MOVED THROUGH. ANOTHER ROUND OF THUNDERSTORMS IS EXPECTED TO AFFECT WEST CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN BEFORE THE EVENING IS OVER. A FEW OF THESE STORMS COULD BE SEVERE WITH DAMAGING WINDS AND/OR LARGE HAIL.
