NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER
EXTREME EASTERN SALEM COUNTY FROM FRIESBURG TO PITTSGROVE. THIS
THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING SLOWLY SOUTHEAST AT 5 TO 10 MPH.
 
THUNDERSTORMS THIS AFTERNOON HAVE PRODUCED PROLIFIC CLOUD TO GROUND
LIGHTNING...LARGE HAIL...TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS OF AROUND 2 INCHES PER
HOUR AND POSSIBLY DAMAGING WIND GUSTS.
 
HEAVY RAINS WITH THIS THUNDERSTORM MAY CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
STREAMS AND UNDERPASSES VERY QUICKLY.  DO NOT DRIVE YOUR CAR INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COV8ERS THE ROADWAY.  THE WATER MAY BE DEEPER
