THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN AKRON HAS ISSUED A
FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL NOON EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY......
 
IN EAST CENTRAL OHIO
 
   ...GUERNSEY COUNTY
 
HEAVY RAINS AND SNOW MELT WERE SPREADING WATER OVER MANY ROADS THIS
MORNING.
 
AT 440 AM THE GUERNSEY COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED SR 513 SOUTH OF I-70
AND ALSO SR 146 WEST OF SR 821 CLOSED DUE TO HIGH WATER.
 
RADAR AT 455 AM WAS STILL SHOWING A LARGE AREA OF LIGHT TO MODERATE RAIN
COVERING THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE STATE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH.
 
THE RAIN HAS INCREASED IN INTENSITY THE PAST HOUR AND WILL LIKELY
CONTINUE THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS CAUSING ADDITIONAL FLOODING PROBLEMS.
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
