THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1100 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES

   IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF MISSOURI
      NEWTON...JASPER

THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR JASPER AND NEWTON COUNTIES HAS BEEN
EXTENDED. THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR MCDONALD COUNTY HAS EXPIRED
AND WILL NOT BE REISSUED.

RAIN HAS ENDED ACROSS SOUTHWEST MISSOURI...BUT SOME STREAMS AND
RIVERS CONTINUE TO RISE FROM RUNOFF OF RAINS RECEIVED EARLIER
TODAY. IT MAY BE SEVERAL HOURS BEFORE THESE STREAMS AND RIVERS
CREST.

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY.
VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE ABANDONED IMMEDIATELY.
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOOD WATERS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
