THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MINNEAPOLIS HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  200 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA
 
   ...EASTERN ANOKA COUNTY...RAMSEY COUNTY...WASHINGTON COUNTY
 
AT 125 PM...FUNNEL CLOUDS WERE REPORTED NEAR DOWNTOWN ST PAUL.
THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING THE POSSIBLE TORNADO WAS MOVING
TO THE NORTHEAST AT 40 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL BE AFFECTING THE
TOWNS OF ST PAUL...CIRCLE PINES AND HUGO THROUGH 2 PM.
 
PERSONS IN THE WARNED COUNTIES SHOULD MOVE INDOORS AND TO THE
BASEMENT IMMEDIATELY.
 
IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS A
BASEMENT.  GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR STAIRWAY TO AVOID COLLAPSING
WALLS.  IF NO BASEMENT IS AVAILABLE...SEEK SHELTER IN A CENTRAL
ROOM SUCH AS A CLOSET OR BATHROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.
