000 TTAA00 KMLB 130550 TORMLB FLC117-130645- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MELBOURNE FL 1248 AM EST SAT MAR 13 1993 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MELBOURNE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 145 AM EST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION... IN CENTRAL FLORIDA ...SEMINOLE COUNTY AT 1245 AM RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVING RAPIDLY THROUGH SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL LAKE COUNTY WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR PRODUCING TORNADOES. PRELIMINARY REPORTS OF TORNADOES CAUSING DAMAGE IN WEST CENTRAL FLORIDA HAVE BEEN REPORTED WITH THIS LINE OF STORMS AND A FUNNEL CLOUD WAS REPORTED NEAR HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS AT 1244. THE STORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 50 MPH AND WILL BE MOVING INTO WESTERN SEMINOLE COUNTY BY 1AM AND SPREAD ACROSS THE COUNTY. BCH THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. ACT QUICKLY. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR POSSIBLE. AVOID WINDOWS. ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES FOR A REINFORCED BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT. &
