THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  115 PM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA
 
   ...NORTHERN MOBILE COUNTY
 
AT 1240 PM A TORNADO WAS REPORTED BY THE GEORGE COUNTY CIVIL DEFENSE
OFFICE AT LUCEDALE. THE TORNADO UNROOFED A RESIDENCE ONE MILE SOUTH OF
THAT CITY.
 
THE MOBILE RADAR SHOWED AT 1241 THE THUNDERSTORM CONTAINING THE
TORNADO WAS MOVING TOWARD THE EAST NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH AND WILL CROSS
INTO MOBILE COUNTY DURING THE NEXT FEW MINUTES.  THE CITY OF
CITRONELLE IS IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM.
 
RESIDENTS SHOULD TAKE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.  RESIDENTS OF MOBILE HOMES
SHOULD MOVE TO A STRONGER STRUCTURE IMMEDIATELY.
 
DO NOT USE YOUR CAR TO TRY TO OUTRUN A TORNADO.  CARS ARE EASILY
TOSSED AROUND BY TORNADO WINDS.  IF: YOU ARE CAUGHT IN THE PATH OF
A TORNADO...LEAVE THE CAR AND GO TO A STRONG BUILDING.  IF NO
STRUCTURE IS NEARBY...SEEK SHELTER IN A DITCH OR LOW SPOT.
