THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ROSWELL HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 545 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE...

IN SOUTHEAST NEW MEXCIO...

        NORTHERN EDDY COUNTY

AT 443 PM MDT A TORNADO WAS OBSERVED FROM THE WEATHER OFFICE AT THE
ROSWELL AIRPORT.  IT WAS 25 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE AIRPORT AND WAS
MOVING VERY SLOWLY TO THE SOUTHEAST.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO GO TO A BASEMENT SHELTER OR A
CENTRAL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE
HOMES FOR A REINFORCED BUILDING.

...A TORNDO WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR PARTS OF FAR WEST TEXAS AND
SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO.

AT 425 PM CDT... WIDELY SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS...SOME WITH VERY
HEAVY RAIN...WERE LOCATED IN FAR WEST TEXAS FROM BETWEEN BALMORHEA AND
FORT DAVIS EXTENDING SOUTHEAST TO BETWEEN FORT STOCKTON AND MARATHON.

THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL WAS OCCURRING BETWEEN BALMORHEA AND FORT DAVIS
AND 20 MILES NORTHEAST OF ALPINE.

MOVEMENT WAS EAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR.
