FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 12 MIDNIGHT EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS......
 
IN NORTH DELAWARE
 
   ...NEW CASTLE COUNTY
 
  THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE CHRISTINA IN NEW CASTLE COUNTY IS
BEING EXTENDED UNTIL 12 MIDNIGHT. THE CHRISTINA RIVER CONTINUES TO
SLOWLY RISE AND WAS INDICATING A READING NEAR COOCHS BRIDGE OF 10.9
FEET...STILL 1.9 FEET ABOVE FLOOD STAGE. IT SHOULD BE CRESTING DURING
THE NEXT HOUR AND THEN BEGIN TO FALL.
 
  HOWEVER...WEATHER RADAR SHOWS
MORE RAINSHOWERS IN NORTHEAST MARYLAND NEAR ABERDEEN HEADING FOR
NORTHERN DELAWARE. RADAR INDICATES MOST OF THE SHOWERS ARE ONLY OF
LIGHT INTENSITY...HOWEVER...THEY COULD POSSIBLY BECOME STRONGER AS
THEY NEAR THE AREA. IF ANY HEAVY RAINS FALL OVER THE BASIN...THE
CHRISTINA MAY CONTINUE TO FLOOD FOR SEVERAL MORE HOURS PAST MIDNIGHT.

ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS

SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
