AT 115 AM...RADAR WAS SHOWING A DEVELOPING AREA OF MODERATE RAINS OVER
AND TO THE SOUTH OF BASTROP AND CALDWELL COUNTIES. DUE TO THE SLOW
MOVEMENT TO THE NORTH AT LESS THAN 10 MILES AN HOUR...ADDITIONAL
ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 11/2 INCHES OF RAIN IS LIKELY BEFORE SUNRISE.
 
THE BASTROP CITY SHERIFF'S OFFICE HAVE ADVISED US THAT PREPARATION IS
UNDERWAY FOR EVACUATIONS IN THE CITY OF BASTROP AT THE ONSET OF HEAVY
RAINS.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
