THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MINNEAPOLIS HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING     EFFECTIVE UNTIL  800 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN CENTRAL MINNESOTA
 
   ...RENVILLE COUNTY
 
IN SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA
 
   ...REDWOOD COUNTY
 
AT 655 PM CDT SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE RAPIDLY DEVELOPING OVER PORTIONS
OF SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA ALONG THE MINNESOTA RIVER. THIS
WARNING REPLACES THE EARLIER WARNING FOR NORTHERN REDWOOD COUNTY
TO INCLUDE ALL OF REDWOOD COUNTY AND INCLUDES THE ADDITION OF
RENVILLE COUNTY. RADAR INDICATED TWO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ONE
OVER VESTA IN NORTHWEST REDWOOD COUNTY ABOUT 15 MILES WEST OF
REDWOOD FALLS. THE SECOND WAS LOCATED NEAR SACRED HEART OR ABOUT
25 MILES NORTHWEST OF REDWOOD FALLS.
 
THESE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE THE POTIENTAL OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL..
STRONG SURFACE WINDS..DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND TORRENTIAL RAINS. PERSONS
IN THE PATH OF THESE STORMS SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY AS THESE
STORMS APPROACH.
 
THESE STORMS WERE MOVING EAST SOUTHEAST AND WILL AFFECT THE FOLLOWING
CITIES DURING THE NEXT HOUR. IN REDWOOD COUNTY VESTA..SEAFORTH..REDWOOD
FALLS AND WABASSO. IN RENVILLE COUNTY SACRED HEART..RENVILLE..OLIVIA
AND BECHYN. MOVEMENT AGAIN IS TOWARD THE SOUTHEAST AT 25 TO 30 MILES
AN HOUR.

STRONG BUILDING.  DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY RAIN...
