THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1145 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE SOUTHWEST PART OF MISSOURI
      NORTHERN STONE

AT 1055 PM CDT THE HIWAY PATROL REPORTS A FUNNEL NEAR HIWAY 160
 30 MILES SOUTH OF SPRINGFIELD MISSOURI. MOVING TO THE EAST AT 20
MILES AN HOUR.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE IS IN
A BASEMENT.  IF NO BASEMENT IS AVAIABE...FIND SHELTER IN AN INTERIOR
ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.

DO NOT USE YOUR CAR TO TRY TO OUTRUN A TORNADO.  LEAVE YOUR CAR
AND GO TO A STRONG BUILDING.  IF NO STRUCTURE IS NEARBY...TAKE
TAKE SHELTER IN A DITCH OR LOW SPOT.
