THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 545 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE SOUTHEAST PART OF COLORADO
      WESTERN AND NORTHWEST LAS-ANIMAS

 THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING TOWNS AND CITIES...TRINIDAD...
 AGUILAR...THATCHER.

AT 440 PM MDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS JUST EAST OF AGUILAR IN
WESTERN LAS ANIMAS COUNTY... 5 TO 10 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF
TRINIDAD. HAIL WAS INDICATED WITH THE THUNDERSTORM. MOVEMENT WAS
NOT INDICATED...BUT THE STORM WAS BUILDING NORTHWARD TOWARD MODEL
AND THATCHER.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM.  IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH...PREPARE FOR
DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING.  PEOPLE OUTSIDE
SHOULD MOVE TO SHELTER...PREFERABLY INSIDE A STRONG BUILDING.  ONCE
INSIDE...STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
