THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MOBILE HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  600 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS...
 
IN SOUTHWEST ALABAMA
 
   ...ESCAMBIA COUNTY
 
AT 500 PM MOBILE RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AT MCCULLOUGH
ALABAMA IN NORTHWEST ESCAMBIA COUNTY. A LINE OF VERY STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED EASTWARD ACROSS ESCAMBIA COUNTY TO BREWTON AND
BRADLEY. THE STORMS WERE MOVING SLOWLY TO THE SOUTH. ANY OF THESE
STORMS COULD PRODUCE LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS ALONG WITH DEADLY
LIGHTNING.
 
AT 450 PM MCCULLOUGH ALABAMA WAS REPORTED TO HAVE TREE LIMBS DOWN AND
HAIL.
 
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55
MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROORM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR
OF YOUR HOME OR BUSINESS.  HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY SO
DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
