TORNADO WARNING AND
SPECIAL MARINE WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  115 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN NORTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA
          ...NORTHERN HYDE-OCRACOKE ISLAND
 
AND ADJOINING COASTAL WATERS AND PAMLICO SOUND BETWEEN OCRACKE ISLAND
AND THE VILLAGE OF FRISCO ON HATTERAS ISLAND.
 
 
THE COAST GUARD REPORTS A WATERSPOUT MOVING TOWARDS THE NORTHERN END
OF OCRACOKE ISLAND...IN THE VICNITY OF THE FERRY DOCK AND THE NORTHERN
CAMPGROUNDS.  AS THIS WATERSPOUT MOVES OVER LAND IT WILL BECOME A
TORNADO AND HAS THE CAPACITY TO CAUSE SIGNICANT PROPERTY DAMAGE OR
INJURY TO PEOPLE.  OTHER WATERSPOUTS HAVE REPORTED FROM HATTERAS
VILLAGE TO THE VILLAGE OF FRISCO ON HATTERAS ISLAND.  EVERYONE SHOULD
BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THESE DANGEROUS STORMS.

BUILDING.  AS A LAST RESORT...SEEK SHELTER IN A CULVERT...DITCH
