000 TTAA00 KBPT 251949 TORBPT TXC241-252015- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PORT ARTHUR TX 249 PM CDT MON JUN 25 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PORT ARTHUR HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 315 PM CDT FOR PERSONS IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST TEXAS ...CENTRAL JASPER COUNTY THIS WARNING EXTENDED THE WARNING ISSUED EARLIER FOR JASPER COUNTY. AT 245 PM CDT...WEATHER RADAR SHOWED A POSSIBLE TORNADO JUST WEST OF KIRBYVILLE ROTATION SOUTTHEAST AROUND A LARGE THUNDERSTORM SYSTEM IN CENTRAL JASPER COUNTY. THE JASPER POLICE REPORTED A TORNADO ON THE GROUND AT 220 PM CDT NEAR MAGNOLIA SPRINGS AND TREES DOWN ACROSS THE HIGHWAY NEAR MOUNT UNION. FLOODING MAY ALSO OCCUR IN PARTS OF CENTRAL JASPER COUNTY UNTIL THESE STORMS DISSIPATE AROUND SUNSET. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS A BASEMENT.
