000 TTAA00 KJAN 202242 TORJAN MSC049-202330- BULLETIN - EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON MS 441 PM CST THU DEC 20 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 530 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI ...HINDS COUNTY AT 440 PM RADAR INDICATED TWO TORNADOES IN HINDS COUNTY. THE FIRST TORNADO WAS 2 MILES WEST OF BYRAM MOVING TO THE NORTH AT 40 MPH. THE SECOND TORNADO WAS 5 MILES SOUTH OF EDWARDS AND WAS MOVING TO THE NORTH AT 40 MPH. DAMAGE HAS ALREADY BEEN REPORTED FROM BOTH OF THESE TORNADOES. TAKE COVER. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS IN AN INT\ERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. GET UNDER STURDY FURNITURE. USE PILLOWS OR CUSHIONS TO COVER YOUR HEAD. <

THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL REPORTS OF POSSIBLE TORNADOES. AT 358 PM CST MERIDIAN WEATHER RADAR SHOWED AN INTENSE THUNDERSTORM IN KEMPER COUNTY 15 MILES WEST OF DE KALB MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH. WITH THIS MOVEMENT THE THUNDERSTORM SHOULD MOVE NEAR PREST&ON MISSISSIPPI. ALL IN EAST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI SHOULD BE ALERT FOR THE THREAT OF SEVERE WEATHER THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING.
