FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  500 PM EST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN CENTRAL INDIANA
          ...NORTHERN MADISON
 
HEAVY RAINS OF NEAR TWO INCHES HAVE FALLEN IN NORTHERN MADISON
COUNTY FROM ELWOOD TO ALEXANDRIA SINCE 2PM. FLOODING OF ROADWAYS
WAS REPORTED BY THE LOCAL POLICE NEAR ALEXANDRIA.
 
AT 335 PM EST HEAVY RAIN WAS CONTINUING IN NORTHEAST MADISON COUNTY
AND MORE STORMS WERE DEVELOPING IN NORTHWEST MADISON COUNTY. THE
STORMSW WERE MOVING EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR.
 
FLASH FLOODING WILL CONTINUE IN NORTHERN MADISON COUNTY UNTIL 5PM EST.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS
THE ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL
ONE...ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
